Welcome to the Movie Mediator Blog!

Most people think meditation when I say the word mediation. While an argument could be made that they are the same thing, in that both are ultimately about finding peace, the similarities stop there.

So what is mediation? Put simply, meditation is where is neutral third party is brought into a dispute and attempts to negotiate with both sides to come to a fair, and reasonable solution.

Mediation is most commonly thought of in divorce scenes. Best example? Think Wedding Crashers and opening fight and this scene -

Wedding Crashers, David Dobkin, Tapestry Films, 2005.

Conflict can be great for the creative process, but it can also destroy a movie. Don't believe me - take a look.
